"You can't catch me!" I shouted, running as my best friend, Philip Hamilton chased after me in a game of tag. "Oh yes I can!" He had just turned nine, and he decided he was going to be a poet, i liked that about him, he was brave and courageous, yet he was soft, too. When he caught up to me, he asked me to sit down, I complied and sat in the soft grass. "I want to tell you the poem I wrote to tell my dad when he comes home," he said earnestly, I smiled and waited to hear him recite his first work. "My name is Philip, I am a poet, and I wrote this poem just to show it. And I just turned nine, you can write rhymes but you can't write mine. I practice French and play piano with my mother, I have a sister but I want a little brother. My Daddy's trying to start America's bank. In deluxe trois quatre cinq!" I clapped for him. "How long did it take?" I asked. "Not too long, I thought of it today, but that's not all I wanted to show you." "Whatever else would you want to show me?" I asked, confused. "This," and with that he kissed my cheek and I giggled, blushing at his touch.
I think back to that day, the day we both decided we may like each other a little more than before. Standing here, on the bow of this ship, I would give anything to be nine again, back as a child, when I was still free, when Philip was still here... Tears were running down my face. That was twenty years ago... and still I can not forget my first love. I am married now, to a man named Joseph Alston, but it was not a marriage I was entirely for. Sure, I loved him, but not as much as I did Philip. I still remember the look on his face when he died, he was helpless, and my pain was unimaginable. We had been courting for a few years before his duel, and were speaking of marriage, but now, now that he is no longer alive, I may be married, but not to him, not to my sweet Philip. Here on this ship, the Patriot, I remember those moments, as the ship sinks, and we go below the water, I don't even struggle. I just drown in my own tears.

Please send me feedback and critics so I can improve
Includes: Strong Language, L(G)BT, Drinking, eventual smut???
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT I used the beautiful lyrics to the 1st Cabinet Battle in my story, written by Lin Manuel Miranda. (skipped a few lyrics though because the part about slavery was a little racist and not really correspondent with the AU.
I do not own these lyrics what-so-ever and I highly recommend you listen to the original;

I was walking through the town trying desperately to find someone, anyone who break my brother, Adam's, curse. Soon i spotted a female at the bookstore a rather attractive male at her side who looked just like her.
I ran towards them "excuse me are you two a couple?" i asked, they shook there heads "we're twins" they replied "oh thank goodness, this may sound crazy but would you come with me to the castle?" i asked pointing too the eerier place on the hill.
The shared glances gulped but nodded anyway, thanking them profusely i led them in and introduced them too the servants. They were fascinated by the animated inanimate ob

"Please, Y/n..." The males voice pleaded over the phone. You groaned tiredly, glancing over at your bedside digital clock. It currently read '3:24a.m.' in bright red.
"And why should I help you at 3:30, in the freaking morning?!" You whisper-yelled, not wanting to disturb the people snoozing in the apartments beside yours.
"We don't have a car, and a taxi probably isn't a good idea for him. I'll make it up to you, I promise." You sighed, knowing he had won.
"Fine. But you owe me, big time."
"Thank you so, so, so, so much Y/-" You hang up before he could finish, rubbing the remainder of sleep from your bloodshot eyes. Blindly slipping on s

Hey, all you Hamilfans! I have decided this is the best ship ever (other than Lams), so I wrote this. Oh yeah, this is Theodosia at 29, in the moment of her death, yes, I did research to figure out how old she was, who she was married to, how she died, and what boat she was on! Aren't they so sad they're adorable?
